hero to a first grader

I am a custodian at an elementary school, and on March 17th working in the cafeteria I came across a little 1st grader that was very upset and crying her eyes out.  I asked what was wrong and she said through tears and gasps that she lost her ring in the sandbox. I asked her where in the sandbox, and barely understanding through her gasping and crying, she said "in the corner".   "My teacher said you have a machine that can find it".  I said yes but I don't have it with me, and she started crying even harder.  I told her I would bring it the next day, and so she calmed down.  I brought my detector  the next day, and found a ring in the sand, in the area she pointed out on the previous day.  Went to the office to find out what classroom she was in and went to the classroom with the principal and made a 1st grader happier than all get out. She smiled sooooooo big and wide with her two front teeth missing, it really tickled my heart.
