Welcome!

I searched google (map section) for Haystack Mountain, riverside, ca. It gives a location about 5 miles sountwest of Palm Desert. I then went to Google Earth, found the spot (several large shadowed ridges) at GPS coordinates: 33deg 41'05.59"N x 116 deg 27'28.43" W. Elevation 3127'. Looks like pretty rough terrain with few access roads.
