Wanted to share an exciting moment with you--------been detecting 3 to 4 yrs now and as you know 1/2 dollars are a rare find--------as dollar coins are rare----well last year I did found a 1/2 dollar coin and just yesterday at Machado Park about 3 1/2 inches deep I pulled up a gold coin thinking it was something special. Well in some ways it was, but what I actually had found was a 1989 Canadian one dollar coin and yes they were gold in color, so I guess that if you factor in that I was born and raised Canadian it was kinda special----------You guys have a great holiday season and I hope to possibly meet you  at one of your up coming meetings after the holidays.
